General Information
California law establishes minimum standards for students in grades 7-12 participating in extracurricular or co-curricular activities. Each quarter, students must earn a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 point scale. Students must also be showing satisfactory progress toward graduation. Incoming 9th grade students who did not maintain a 2.0 grade point average in the last grading period of the 8th grade school year may be granted eligibility to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities during a probationary period of the first grading period of the 9th grade.
