The Kiwanians hosted a celebratory dinner for 14 youth on February 22, 2018. Each youth went through a selection process: elementary youth created a video on what it means to be Youth of the Year, intermediate youth wrote an essay and were interviewed by a panel, and high school youth wrote three essays and were interviewed by a panel of judges. The youth gave speeches on how Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove has impacted their lives. Each youth received a plaque, 2 Disneyland tickets, and a sweatshirt. We are excited to announce the two youth advancing to the county dinner on March 9th, at Discovery Cube OC: Mya S. from Main Branch as the competitive youth and Hazel C. from Walton Unit as the non-competitive youth. Congratulations to all of our young leaders out there. Thank you to Kiwanis Club, OCAP Supply, and Mayer Printers. A special thank you to the Youth of the Year committee for hosting two outstanding events.
Congratulations to Lobo, Elizabeth Guerrero for being selected as one of the Youth of the Year Recipients!
Way to show your PAWS!
