In 2025, Los Amigos High School proudly received a full 6-year accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)! This prestigious recognition affirms our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, equity, and student success.

WHAT IS WASC?

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is one of six regional accrediting agencies in the United States. WASC evaluates and certifies the quality and effectiveness of schools through a rigorous, evidence-based process. Accreditation assures our students, families, and community that Los Amigos meets high standards of educational excellence and is committed to continuous improvement.

WHY WASC?

WASC Accreditation is essential because it:

  • Validates the integrity of our academic programs and student services.

  • Supports student eligibility for college admission and scholarships.

  • Drives us to reflect, evaluate, and improve.

  • Involves all stakeholders—students, staff, families, and community—in shaping the future of our school.

OUTCOMES: Full 6-Year Accreditation

The Visiting Committee rated Los Amigos "Highly Effective" across nearly all key areas of evaluation, including:

  • Vision, governance, leadership, and resources

  • Curriculum, teaching, and assessment

  • Student support, equity, and school culture

The 6-year term reflects WASC’s confidence in our systems, our people, and our shared mission to empower students for lifelong success.
